Crafting a winning entry

The awards will celebrate and showcase the next generation of stars, help launch the careers of up-and-comers, and create better equity and more opportunity for those in marginalized groups. 

Qualifications

To qualify for the award in North America, candidates must be:

  • Between the ages of 22 and 29 as of entry date
  • Identifies as a woman and as Asian, Black, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, or two or more or races

To qualify for the award in UK/Europe, candidates must be:

  • Between the ages of 22 and 29 as of entry date
  • Identifies as a woman and as Black, or as a person of color

To qualify for the award in APAC/MEA, candidates must be:

  • Between the ages of 22 and 29 as of entry date
  • Identifies as a woman and as a member of a minority community

Entry guidelines

Based on provided framework/prompts, work must show:

  • Written submission
  • Video summary/pitch or work

Submission framework/prompts:

  • Please share your personal story via video. Please include any hardships you have faced entering the industry, what you would like to change about the industry, and what excites you about the industry's future.
  • Please include a deck with examples of work in which you played an integral role.

When including work, please include the following:

  • Measurable business impact. We're looking for more than media hits. Share metrics like, did increased sales, # of shares/downloads, registrations, website traffic increase etc.
  • Campaign strategy informed by data or insight. Share with us that ‘a-ha’ moment.
  • Innovative/creative thinking or solution
  • Human angle or impact. Was it purpose-driven work? Does it move needle on DEI? Inclusivity? Showed authenticity?
  • Communications as a catalyst for behavioral/societal change. Show how the work changed behavior.
  • Ongoing/sustained momentum: was it sticky, shareable, engaging?

Submission Information

To be considered, please complete these five mandatory sections for your entry, with a 750-word limit per section. Videos are welcomed as supplemental material. If you have any confidential information that cannot be viewed by the general public or published anywhere, please mark as confidential in that related section.

  2. Professional accomplishments (if referencing work, consider PRovoke Media’s campaign awards criteria)
  3. Activities outside work (both inside and outside the industry)
  4. Demonstrations of leadership (could be in professional and/or personal capacities)
  5. Statement about why nominee should be considered (can include any personal hardships experienced entering this profession)
